Dr. Yoeny Calas-Dobson DVM

Dr. Yoeny Calas-Dobson, owner and founder of RiverWoods pet hospital. Dr. Dobson's main specialty is with avians, exotics and reptiles. She has practiced veterinary medicine and surgery since 1985.

Dr. Christine Guerrero DVM

We are excited to welcome Dr. Guerrero to our practice as a full-time veterinarian. She has been practicing veterinary medicine for 14 years. Dr. Guerrero has been in Utah for 5 years and is the proud owner of 3 dogs, a guinea pig, a hamster, a rabbit, 2 chinchillas, and a canary.

 

 

 

Kendra Pierce – Hospital Director

Kendra is our new Hospital Director and brings with her over 20 years of veterinary care experience. Kendra enjoys working out, shopping, gardening, and pet sitting. Kendra is owned by two dogs, Gabe - a 10 year old Shih tzu, and Bentley - a 7 year old Bull Dog. She also has a kitty named Billy, who is deaf.

Erica Casper – Client Relations

Erica has been with RiverWoods since May 2005. She heads up the front desk as our head of Client Relations.  Erica is an accomplished horse woman and competed throughout the country in rodeo (cattle cutting).  Erica just finished building her own home from the ground up with her husband Rickey.  She is the proud mom of Winston, a yorkie. 

Heather Riggs, RVT – Lead Veterinary Technician

Heather has been with RiverWoods since June 2001. She earned a degree in Veterinary Technology from Brigham Young University, and passed the National Veterinary Technician Exam in January 2005.  Heather ran off and joined the circus (literally) and took care of elephants, camels, tigers, horses, and zebras - ask her to tell you stories. Her favorite animal is the elephant. She adores her dogs Kiste and Max, cats Wilson and Lola, and horses Fox and Flash (“The Wonder Horse”). Heather is also a musical theatre idiot savant.

Brandi Ilagan – Veterinary Technician

Brandi Ilagan's life long love of animals has led her to a 7 year career as a veterinary technician. Brandi stays busy playing paintball and going to the sand dunes with her 10 year old son, Tyson. In addition, she loves anything pink, riding in vintage cars, and eating sushi.

Erica Locke - Veterinary Technician

We are excited to add Erica to our team of Veterinary Technicians. She has 5 years experience with small animals and exotics. Erica enjoys horseback riding, barrel racing, fishing, and camping.

Judy Boone – Groomer

Judy has been grooming for 24 years.  She is an expert in the field. Judy raises and shows Australian Shepherds and judges agility across the United States.  She enjoys spending time with her dogs, Baxter, Emma, and Cargo. 

 

Jillian Dingee – Receptionist

Jillian has been a receptionist at RiverWoods Pet Hospital since September 2006. She is currently studying Integrated Studies with emphases in American Sign Language and Psychology at Utah Valley State College. Jillian originates from Arizona and loves baseball and shopping.
 

Jenine Guariglia - Technician Assistant

Jenine is a sophomore at UVSC and is studying Nursing. She is a native of the Utah County area and enjoys hiking, camping, singing, and horseback riding. She was married to Brandon, who also works with us, on December 30, 2006.

Brandon Guariglia – Technician Assistant

Brandon is a sophomore at Brigham Young University and plans on going into dentistry.  He is from Sparks, Nevada and has extensive experience in animal handling.  Brandon likes to play basketball, sleep, watch movies (his favorites are Scarface and Training Day), and eat sushi. 

Reid Johnson - Kennel Tech

Reed is an honors student at BYU majoring in Biophysics and plans on going to vet school. He is a campus EMT at BYU and has always had an interest medicine. He loves sports, exercising, animals, and trying new things. He's from Orange County, California and married to a Minnesotan. He and his wife, Susie, have a spoiled tabby cat named Beatrice (B or BB for short)
